What substance use concerns may look like
Substance use problems can involve loss of control, repeated use despite consequences, cravings, and difficulty stopping even when someone wants to.
People may also notice changes in mood, behavior, sleep, work performance, relationships, or legal involvement related to use.
- Using more often or in larger amounts than intended
- Difficulty cutting down or stopping
- Problems at work, home, or in relationships related to use
- Cravings, relapse cycles, or high-risk behavior
When treatment support may be needed
A treatment program may help when substance use is recurring, consequences are increasing, or someone needs structure and accountability to stabilize recovery.
If there are urgent medical or withdrawal concerns, emergency or detox-level care may be needed before outpatient treatment. This page does not replace emergency care.
- Repeated relapse or loss of control over use
- Legal, family, or employment consequences
- Need for accountability and consistent recovery support
- Co-occurring mental health symptoms affecting recovery
How our programs may help
Community Care offers an outpatient substance use recovery program for adults who are medically stable and able to live at home while receiving treatment.
If mental health symptoms are also significantly affecting stability, our care team can help determine whether additional or different support is needed.
- Outpatient rehab can include therapy, relapse prevention, and accountability
- Court-related coordination may be available when applicable
- Our care team can help review fit, location, and next steps
